In Year Admissions

If you would like your child to come to Briary School during the academic year, then the first thing to do is to give us a ring or drop an email to the school. Details of which are on our home page. Our  Headteacher, Mrs Murrell, is very happy to show parents around the school, so that they can make an informed decision. If your child is pre-school age, then we maintain a list of prospective pupils, being on this list ensures we contact you with the necessary details to apply formally. If your child is of school age then you will need to complete a Kent County Council In Year Casual Application form (IYCAF) and return it to Briary School. This form can be obtained from any Kent primary school, including of course our own school office, or you can download one HERE. We currently have 2 classes of 30 children in each school year group from Reception through to year 6, with a maximum of 60 places in total in each year. For details of oversubscription criteria please see our School Admissions Policy, which reflects KCC guidelines. Primary Admissions in Kent have now been returned to schools in order to offer any available places directly to parents. However, if you have any queries that schools are unable to answer, then you can contact Admissions at:-
