Children in the Key Stage 2 (Years 3-6) arrive between 8.40am and 8.50am, when lessons start. On arrival at school they go straight to their classrooms where they can chat informally before lessons begin.
We ask parents to bring Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 (Years R-2) children direct to the outside of their classrooms between 8.50am and 9.00am. This gives parents and teachers a chance to meet informally and share information. Parents arriving before this time are expected to keep their children under close supervision until the classroom doors are opened. Teachers should be in their classrooms to meet and greet the children, chatting with them informally.
All children have a morning break.
- Key Stage 1 – 10.40am – 10.55am
- Key Stage 2 – 11.00am – 11.15am
- Foundation Stage – 11.45am – 12.45pm
- Years 1 and 2 – 12.15pm – 1.15pm
- Years 3 to 6 – 12.20pm – 1.15pm
Afternoon lessons finish at 3.00pm for all children. Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 children must be met from their classroom door or pick up point by an adult known to the teacher.
