In the September following their eleventh birthday, children move on to secondary education. A parents evening is held in the autumn term to provide information about the transfer process and discuss issues with school staff. Parents are sent a form to complete if they wish their children to be entered for the Kent Test (eleven plus). Following the result of that test in October parents are then sent another form to complete with their preferred secondary schools entered on it. Briary staff liaise with all local secondary schools and we always encourage parents to visit schools with their children to help them make an informed choice. Any issues parents have with this process are happily discussed in school, please just come and see us.
And finally ………………………
We all want our children to be happy at School and at home, so don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any worries. We promise we will do our best to help.
